๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ ROSEBUD RUNNING FESTIVAL 2027

The Rosebud Running Festival returns on Sunday 13 June 2027, bringing another exciting day of running and walking to Victoria's beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

Starting and finishing at Rosebud Skate Park, participants can choose from a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km Run/Walk, 5km Run/Walk, or 1km Kids Race, making the event suitable for all ages and abilities.

The course follows a combination of road, shared pathways and the scenic Bay Trail, taking runners through Rosebud, McCrae, Capel Sound and Rye. With predominantly flat terrain, the event is ideal for first-time participants, walkers and experienced runners chasing a personal best.

Every participant who crosses the finish line will receive an official finisher medal.

The 1km Kids Race is not timed.
Parents are welcome to run alongside younger children at no additional cost.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ COURSE INFORMATION

The Rosebud Running Festival takes place on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and follows a combination of Nepean Highway, the Bay Trail, shared pathways and sections through the foreshore camping reserve.

The 5km and 10km events head towards McCrae before returning to Rosebud.

The Half Marathon and Marathon continue through Capel Sound with the final turnaround located near Rye before returning to the finish line. Marathon participants complete two laps.

The course is predominantly flat, making it suitable for both experienced runners chasing a personal best and those participating for fun.

Major turnaround points will feature timing mats to ensure participants complete the correct distance entered.

As the event takes place on shared public pathways, participants should remain courteous and aware of other path users at all times.

Please stay left where possible and follow all course markings.

It is the responsibility of each participant to follow the designated course and complete the distance entered.

While signage and marshals will be positioned throughout the course, athletes are responsible for ensuring they complete all required turnaround points.

Failure to complete the full course may result in a DNF (Did Not Finish) or disqualification from the results.

5km & 10km - Participants should aim to finish within 3 hours.
Half Marathon - 3 hours 30 minutes.
Marathon - 6 hours.

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ BIB COLLECTION, POSTAGE & MERCHANDISE

Each participant will receive a race bib containing an integrated timing chip.

Participants may collect bibs for family and friends. Please have their name, race distance and age category available.

Participants may purchase bib postage during registration.
Bibs will be mailed approximately 2โ€“3 weeks before race day via Australia Post.

Didn't Receive Your Bib?
Visit the Registration Tent during collection hours and we will issue a replacement bib.

Important Bib Information

โ€ข If your bib has been posted and you change distance, a replacement bib must be collected at registration.
โ€ข If you already have your bib, there is no need to visit registration on race morning. Simply proceed directly to the start line.
โ€ข All participants must wear their race bib while on course.

๐Ÿ‘• Merchandise Collection

Any merchandise purchased during registration must be collected from the Registration Tent during event weekend.

Merchandise will not be posted.

Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age category.

Kids Race - NOT TIMED - All participants receive a finisher medal.

๐Ÿšด EVENT FACILITIES

Toilets - Public and portable toilets will be available at the event site and at various locations along the course.

First Aid - First Aid services will be available at the finish line and throughout the course.

If assistance is required, please notify the nearest marshal, aid station volunteer or event staff member.

Clothing Bag Drop - A clothing bag area will be available near the start and finish precinct. Please do not leave valuables, as Event People accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

  • Water and sports drink will be available throughout the course and at the finish lin
  • The Half Marathon and Marathon feature multiple aid stations.
  • The 10km includes two drink stations and 5km one drink station at turnaround
  • Additional public water taps are available along sections of the Bay Trail and foreshore reserve.

  • All participants will receive a race bib with an integrated timing chip.
  • Please ensure your bib is visible and that you cross all timing mats during the event.
  • Official results will be published online following the event.

Starting and finishing in Rosebud, the 5km and 10km events will take runners towards McCrae before returning to Rosebud.
The Half Marathon and Marathon courses will continue past the Rosebud start/finish area and head towards Capel Sound, with the turnaround located near Rye before returning to the finish line in Rosebud. Marathon participants will complete two laps.
The weekend features a variety of running and walking events suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
All finishers will receive a commemorative finisher medal.
